From our very first issue, Varietals Wine Country Magazine has endeavored to capture for our readers the sights, sensations, and passion of wine country's epicurean lifestyle. We have been fortunate to count as our readers tens of thousands of wine country enthusiasts from over 80 countries around the world. It has been an honor to bring our readers the best experiences that wine country has to offer - to say nothing of the delightful food and wine.

Early on, we made the decision that we wanted to bring the very best editorial content to our readers free of charge. Our readership has been steady and growing and the response from wine country businesses has been quite enthusiastic. The challenging broader economic environment and evolving media marketplace, though, is guiding us to pursue different strategic directions. As such, it is our sad duty to report that Varietals Wine Country Magazine is ceasing publication.

While this is obviously a bittersweet decision, the staff at Varietals would like to thank our readers for their feedback and their support. We've enjoyed sharing our passion for all things wine country and hope that you have enjoyed the events, experiences, and destinations that we have brought your way.
